Woke up to another rainy and gloomy day. We stopped at the ranger station to inquiry the hiking conditions. Not surprisingly, it was reported that most trails at higher elevation were still deep under snow, although we did have our snowshoes with us, breaking trail and postholing in a viewless day just didn't seem appealing at all. So we decided to stick to the tourist stuff, we drove to Cape Flattery, the most northwestern point in the continental US.

In the evening, we stayed at Sol Duc resort. It was drizzling all day, on and off, but the prospect of soaking in the hot springs sure made up for that. It was awesome even in the rain.

Crescent Lake. Very cloudy day, with pockets of rain along our way to Cape Flattery.

Creepy looking fish with bushy eyebrows and little pink skirt and bra? This is just the opposite of a mermaid, in everyway.
