Since its a long drive for me, I figure I'll make the most out of the trip, so I plan to start my first ADK46 hike during the visit and a quick trip to Montreal after the gathering :-)

I left home shortly after 3 PM Friday afternoon. Arrived at Lewis shortly after 8 PM, a small pocket of traffic at Albany, otherwise it was quite a pleasant drive. ADK is beautiful.

The first few people I met when I arrived were Teejay, KenG, Spence daughter Emily, Spence's father and mother in-law Brian and Ruth. Later Spence and others came back from dinner and the rest of the members gradually arrived. We sat around the hugh bonfire and discussing where we want to hike tomorrow. Bubba hooked me up with John and Nicole to hike Cascade and Porter mtn. That would be my number 1 and 2 of the ADK 46 list.
